At the dawn of the 20th century, Nikola Tesla, one of the most fascinating figures in modern history, arrives to the bleak prairie town in Colorado Springs to conduct an experiment with the ultimate goal of providing free electricity to the entire world..
Using help from his assistants, Tesla raises a tower that draws power from the ionosphere and simultaneously enables scientist to experience rather other-worldly forces of higher cosmic intelligence. These forces draw him into a series of frightening and dangerous confrontations, manifested in haunting visions, that also serve as a psychedelic tool for his utopian ideas.
At the same time a vortex of misunderstandings and fears is closing-in around him. The superstitious residents of nearby town of Cripple Creek
sider the great scientist to be a dangerous lunatic and a warlock who has to be removed as soon as possible.
Overcoming obstacles within his mind and occupied by the higher forces, Tesla exceeds the deadline set by his financiers for the completion of the experiment. He remains unaware of the looming danger to both him and his project as the uncompromising representatives of nascent corporate America arrive in Cripple Creek.
At almost the same moment as the great mind of Tesla grasps the solution, the scientist's project is brutally terminated and the chance to present his gift to humanity is lost. The opportunity to change mankind's destiny away from its bleak future, a future filled with the horrors of war and
conflict caused by the frantic struggle for resources, is denied. The remains of his experiment are left burning in the prairie dust.
